The Post That Never Ends.

It feels a little weird to be blogging again.  I’m definitely out of practice.  I’ve always been told to “write what you know”.  Well right now, what I know, is that there have been quite a few events that I’ve been meaning to blog about since my last post.  This may or may not end up being the post that never ends… it just goes on and on my friends ♪♫♪… 🙂

God has been teaching me so much and growing me in so many different ways (many times through circumstances that I wouldn’t have chosen).  I feel like the growth can be accredited to the fact that I’m being diligent in my walk with the Lord.  The Bible does say, “you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with your whole heart” (Jeremiah 29:13), so really, this should come as no surprise.  Jarid and I have been regularly attending a Monday night Bible study with people who quickly turned from strangers to like family.  I actually found out about the Bible study through a girl I was meeting to sell some yard sale items to.  Isn’t it funny when God makes those divine appointments for us?  The events of the Summer would have been so much more debilitating, had I not been able to fully rely on Christ and my relationship with Him during this time.  When it was too painful on my own, I was able to rely on His strength & His promises.

As usual, there was plenty of family fun these past few months… We participated in the annual family vacation during the first week in June down in Ocean City, New Jersey….

…we celebrated quite a few birthdays including Jarid’s 27th with some new golf clubs and a round at the driving range, along with a surprise trip to the drive-in to see one of the most anticipated new movies in his eyes, Transformers: Age of Extinction…

…we finally got to take Momma to the beach for her birthday, which was back in April (got her some Fractured Prune for breakfast!)…

… we celebrated my littlest sister, Morgy’s birthday at Benihana where we enjoyed hibachi entertainment and then took a little shopping trip…

….we celebrated Bowman’s birthday with a big family party filled with outdoor games, food, and picnicking…

…which leads me to one of the most exciting BIRTHdays of this post… I gained a second cousin this summer!

Winnie Joy Mitterling ❤ Isn’t she the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?

Oh, and I also turned the big 2-6.  I was completely spoiled, which felt undeserving, but like such a blessing to have so many people who care about me.

My favorite perfume, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, gluten free pizza from The Wild Tomato, birthday flowers, and a white gold hand written necklace… Jarid gave me such a thoughtful gift…  he used the baseball tickets that TT had written my name on to have the necklace made.  It was the very last thing that TT ever wrote to me. I am so thankful to have a piece of him that I can wear and take with me.

We’ve been to baseball games (Phillies & Senators),

… played in sports leagues (both grass volleyball & basketball)…

…celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Jarid brought flowers to me at work and we tried out a new farm to table restaurant in the area… HARVEST!  Jarid really outdid himself with the gorgeous anniversary band that he gave me, too.  Mixing metals has become one of my favorite ways to wear jewelry!…

…spent some quality time with some quality friends…

…visited Jarid’s college alma mater, Bloomsburg…

…participated in a Halloween outreach with our Bible study group & carved pumpkins with the family…

…and cheered my littlest sissy on as she stood on homecoming court…

…We also ate some really great, nutritious food along the way 🙂

…overall, I’d say it was a successful summer.

…Hopefully I’ll be back to regular blogging soon, but if not, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
