If you’re simply here for the recipe and would rather not listen to my ramblings, then go ahead and scroll down to the bottom of this post 🙂 I’m not going to tease you with a title like that and then make you wait around for the recipe!
There are, however, some events as of late that can’t be ignored, which needed documenting. First, Momma Snyder turned the big 5-0!
We went out for a nice dinner to Red Lobster (same as last year) and then back to the house for some quality time.
Secondly, we got to spend time with some friends that we hadn’t seen since before Christmas!
Amber, Simon & Gracie! We were finally able to get together and exchange gifts! Between sickness and busy schedules, it was the first opportunity we’ve had. Always a great time getting together with them… and who could NOT love Gracie?! She’s such a cutie pie.
Another recent development? My love for fashion! Not just any fashion, but THRIFTY fashion 🙂 I mean, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a real big budget for new clothing.
After Christmas sales are a girl’s best friend… Each of the faux leather jackets that I’m wearing in the pictures were bought at JCPenney for about $26 each (which I had store credit for from Christmas returns). Ebay has been good to me, as well! The scarves in the photos mostly came from there and were bought for $5 or less with Christmas money/yardsale money. The cheetah Sperry’s were a Christmas gift, but I refused to pay full price, so I found them for Jarid on Ebay as well… $25 with shipping included?!? The plaid flannels were from Old Navy ($7.99 on sale). I buy the “tall” sizes because then they’re extra long (which I LOVE). The owl necklace is another favorite of mine… I used a return credit from Kohl’s to buy it, but got it for 30% off and it was already on clearance, bringing it down to like $6? I still have some gift cards to use up!
In other news, it’s been insanely cold in our area.
Not so fun to drive in, but when snowed in, it gave me a little extra workout! Shoveling the driveway after watching Juan Pablo, catching up on The Bachelor episodes I’ve missed!
Speaaaaaaaking of workouts, the elliptical has been my “go-to” cardio, with the exception of the nights I’m able to make it to basketball practice to help out with the girls’ practice where I used to play in college!
It’s felt SO good to be back in my basketball shoes! Even if it is only for a few hours a day… heck I’m getting too old to play as much as I used to anyway 😉 Those few practices I’ve made it to sent me back to the chiropractor twice already!
Anyway, I think we’re up to speed with the excitement in our lives, so I better not prolong the recipe sharing any more.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Fudge, folks. Go make some!
- 2 tbsp. nut butter (I chose all-natural peanut with no sugar in the ingredients list)
- 42 grams (2 scoops) chocolate whey protein
- 1 tbsp. coconut oil
- 21 g. (1 scoop) coconut flour
- 1 tbsp. stevia (or other natural sweetener)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 tbsp. sugar free honey or sugar free pancake syrup
1- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
2-Prepare a pan with wax paper and press the mixture evenly into all corners
3- Place the container in the fridge for about 30 minutes to harden and store there as well.
