Yesterday, I was excited from the moment I woke up. It was all thanks to this chicky, who I knew would be visiting us after work!
Lynds and I started our friendship quite a while ago, back in high school… aka, she even loved me when I was an overly emotional mess of a teenager. I was her “big sister” during basketball season, but I’m pretty sure she was more of a strong hold for me than I was for her. She’s always inspired me in lots of ways. She’s witty, sarcastic and I love her to pieces.
She was in our wedding, too (on the far left)!
Every single time she’s home from one of her amazing, ambitious adventures, I want to hog up all her time.
Needless to say, Lynds is definitely one of my fave friends 😉 She is also a blogger and leads quite an exciting life, so you should probably head over to her page and check it out.
She brought us a cute little flower “because that’s what you do when someone buys a home” — her words, not mine — and in turn, I made her a yummy Indian dinner, courtesy of Tasty Bite.
Another Friday fave is the fact that I’m becoming a yard saling fool. Literally, I’ve been meeting up with people every other day to exchange my old clothes for cash. I’ve been rewarding myself a bit here and there, too… you know, to restock my wardrobe!
Next, we have a NY&Co. statement necklace. While, I’m not a huge fan of the way NY&Co. clothing fits me, I am a fan of their jewelry.
Originally $24.95 – I got it for $9.99 which I was pretty pleased with. I have been looking for awhile, but none until now, have really struck my fancy. I wanted silver since my wedding rings are white gold, and I wanted something pretty neutral that I could wear with a lot of different clothes that I already have. This one fit the bill and the price was right, so I snagged it.
Another Friday Fave is the fact that I get to pick a winner from the Betty Crocker Gluten-Free baking tools giveaway I posted about yesterday!
Another one of my Faves for Friday?
When my husband reads our daily devotional to me before bed. If you’re looking to strengthen your marriage, doing daily devotions together and talking/praying about what you’re learning together is one of the best things. It’s been a blessing to us, for sure.
One of the top foodie Friday Faves, has to be kale, peppers, onions, and shrimpies sauteed in coconut oil.
I could eat my weight in this meal and think absolutely nothing of it. Sprinkle some salt in there while it’s cooking and I can guarantee you’ll burn your mouth trying to get a taste before it’s finished cooking entirely. So, so good.
And that’s a wrap! Happy Friday! What are some of your Friday Faves?
