This Thing, Called Love.

Last night we planned on having dinner with the family at my Momma’s house, as I mentioned previously, it was TACO NIGHT.

I was in charge of cooking up the extra lean ground turkey, and since I’d forgotten my taco seasoning that I insisted I would bring, I had to improvise with some salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, cayenne powder, garlic powder, minced onion, and salsa.  Everyone seemed to love it, so that’s all that matters!toppings

Momma had a huge spread of toppings all ready to go, including chopped lettuce, tomatoes, fat free cheddar, 0% chobani, salsa, and fat free refried beans!  I also supplied my own corn tortillas since the Giant in Halifax is lousy and didn’t have them.

My little sis had travel team softball practice, so it ended up being Momma, me, and Jarid, which I was perfectly fine with!  I love having Momma all to myself ❤

For dessert, Momma had cut up some fresh, juicy watermelon and some perfectly ripe strawberries to accompany my Fudgey Coconut Zucchini Brownies.  They looked much more appealing after the “frosting” was in place.

Until Pops & the little sisters got home, we lounged on the deck and chatted, enjoying the gorgeous view from my parents backyard of the mountain.

When they finally did arrive, they were hungry as could be, so we rejoined them at the table to keep them company.

sisThis one is quite a little character… she had me cracking up the whole night.

After dinner we did some yoga in the living room…

stands… Cali wanted to participate, too, but I told her she had to wait until we got to the part where Cat/Cow pose was incorporated 🙂

The night ended with a big ole’ glass  of water and a knockout pill.  By that, I mean Alka Seltzer Cold/Flu Night Formula — stuff is amazing.
